WHOEVER, WILL NEVER
We've been exploring Jesus' "I AM" statement from John 6, "I AM the bread of life." We've recognized the deep hunger within us and the invitation to daily nourishment.
But information is not the same as transformation. Transformation requires a response.
Regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey, if you're feeling spiritually hungry or empty, don’t wait: Respond to Jesus’ invitation. Did you notice this wording in John 6:35, "'Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.'" It's an invitation to believe, to receive, and to allow Him to fill that void. For those already following Jesus, it's a call to return to Him as our primary source. We can easily drift, seeking fulfillment in other, temporary things. But true, lasting satisfaction is found in Jesus alone.
John 6:35 is isn't just a beautiful sentiment; it's a powerful promise. It's an invitation to come, to believe, and to be truly filled. It’s an invitation to all, to WHOEVER will respond. And it’s a promise of deep, permanent, eternal satifaction, the kind that WILL NEVER leave you wanting.
Let’s Reflect: If you're feeling that spiritual hunger today, we invite you to respond to Jesus' invitation. You can connect with us at Authentic Church this week – we'd love to walk alongside you. You are not alone.
Let's Pray: Jesus, thank you for Your invitation to come and be filled by you. I acknowledge my need for You, the true Bread of Life, and I accept your invitation. Thank you that because of your sacrificial love, I will never hunger or thirst again! Help me experience the lasting satisfaction that only You can provide. Help me lose the taste for anything in my life that is only a quick and fading fix and a poor substitution for all You offer in yourself. Amen.
